Mirror Of The Mind Technique To Change Unwanted Behavior And Manifest What You Want

I’m re-reading The Silva Mind Control Method For Getting Help From Your Other Side by Jose Silva and Robert B. Stone, one of the really outstanding Silva Method books, and it reminded me of a post my friend Doc* made recently about using SUBMODALITIES while programming.

The mirror of the mind technique is to go to alpha brain wave level, visualize the problem in a blue framed mirror and then change the mirror’s frame to a white one and visualize the GOAL or INTENDED state inside that framed mirror instead.  (Silva Mind Control Method For Getting Help From Your Other Side, by Jose Silva and Robert B. Stone)

Here are some things to consider and also try out and have fun experimenting with.  Make sure you keep a notebook with your results as you try it out and have fun with it!

Does the white framed mirror work as sort of a “uni-mold” for manifesting?  Or does it have more to do with submodalities?

What happens if you ALSO change locations for things (something you believe vs. something you’re not sure about or something that won’t happen vs. something that hasn’t happened yet, but you know it will) along with the color of the frame of the mirror?

Since Jose Silva did NOT include “locations for things” (from NLP) in his technique what is the importance of the color blue around the mirror picture of the unwanted state and the color white around the mirror picture of what it is you do want instead?

Is it a simple submodality shift to keep the two separate?  Or is there something else there?  How else can you adapt and use that technique to manifest what you want?

Sincerely,

How To NOT Use Hypnosis On A Date!

In case the link to the news story expires (click here for the story), a South Korean hypnotist got fined for moving in for a kiss on a woman he THOUGHT was hypnotized but was faking it.

First off, you’re generally not going to get someone to do something they wouldn’t normally do by using hypnosis.

But if you want to use covert hypnosis for dates, we’ll get to that here in a moment.  Along with how to do it WITHOUT coming across as creepy.

In fact, hypnosisi happens all the time.

Hypnosis is altered states.  Also hypnosis is conditioning and conditioning is hypnosis.

So what could our example from South Korea have done differently?

Many of you hypnotists know that when you hypnotize someone, you create very deep levels of rapport with them.

And when you focus on their feelings of pleasure or well-being, and anchor it to the sound of your voice (“as you just pay attention to the sound of my voice and relax even more deeply…” for example) the person may end up being attracted to you without additional efforts on your part.

So that’s one route the hypnotist could have taken.

Another thing people think they’re going to do is give hypnotic commands for the person to get turned on and jump you while they’re in trance.

While that can work, it can also backfire and cause you legal problems.

By the way, I’m not able to give you any kind of legal advice.

I’ll tell you what, though, if the person does something like that under trance, it’s because they felt like doing it at the time.

Then if they have “buyer’s remorse” later on they will BLAME YOU for using hypnosis on them, as if they had no control over themselves.

A better technique, which I learned from my friend Ross Jeffries is to count them back up, and have them physically stand up and move from the chair.  Ask them how they feel.

At that point the “hypnosis” is officially over.

Even though the feelings are still there.

And by the way, once you understand the principles behind hypnotic conversation and hypnotic influence, you don’t need to do what that South Korean hypnotist attempted to do.

Instead, you can just have a “normal conversation” and naturally and easily attract others to you in ways that cause them to feel really good about having met you.

The person who tries to “steal” something from the other person or “trick them in to doing something” like the South Korean hypnotist did will come across as creepy, slimy, and will perhaps also land in some legal doo-doo.

Instead, start to make a habit of focusing on the types of feelings and emotions you want people to experience around you, and design your conversation in such a way that causes them to feel those good feelings and sensations while thinking it was all their own idea instead of being “planted” inside their mind by a force outside of themselves (although there are people who do like to be overwhelmed by sensations from someone else, which is a topic for a different article).

Remember when you make it a part of your lifestyle and who you are to turn on those good feelings in other people you may be very well surprised at just how many people WANT to give you what it is you’d like to share with them!

Now go have fun.
